Eric Giler and James Roszkowski Join SoundBite Board of Directors
BURLINGTON, Mass. – July 27, 2006 – SoundBite Communications, a leading provider of automated customer contact solutions, today announced the appointment of Eric Giler and James Roszkowski to the SoundBite Board of Directors. Mr. Giler, CEO of Groove Mobile, brings 25years of information technology experience, including deep domain expertise in the electronic messaging market, while Mr. Roszkowski has held a number of senior-level positions in thefinancial services industry, most notably Senior Executive Vice President and Senior Operating Committee member of MBNA America.
Mr. Giler, CEO of Groove Mobile, the world's leading mobile music service, joins the SoundBite Board of directors with substantial business and technology experience. Prior to joining GrooveMobile, Mr. Giler was founder, President and CEO of Brooktrout Inc. Mr. Giler built the company into a leading supplier of advanced hardware and software products for system vendors andservice providers in the electronic messaging market. He also led the company through multiple public offerings on NASDAQ. His industry pioneering solutions for integrated voice, data andf fax communications in telecommunications and networking led to a number of patents in electronicmessaging technology.
In addition to joining the SoundBite board, Mr. Giler also serves on the Boards of AllianceSystems and Muse Research. Mr. Giler earned a Bachelor of Science from Carnegie-Mellon University and a Masters of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
Mr. Roszkowski is a known leader within the financial services industry, specifically the U.S. and International credit card industries. He is a seasoned senior executive with nearly 25 years ofexperience and with a significant record of starting up and developing new businesses and entrepreneurial ventures within Fortune 500 companies. Most recently, he was a Senior Executive Vice President and Senior Operating Committee member of MBNA America, theworld’s largest independent credit card issuer prior to its recent merger with Bank of America. Mr. Roszkowski’s experiences have included leadership roles in business development, sales andmarketing, portfolio acquisitions, Internet marketing and operations and international anddomestic strategic and business expansion planning. He has also held senior-level positions at VISA USA and Chase Manhattan Bank.
Mr. Roszkowski also serves on the Boards of SmartButton Associates and Exactor Inc. inaddition to participating actively in the non-profit community. He is a graduate of St. Johns University in New York.
