Peter Shields
President & CEO, Chairman of the Board

Peter Shields has a proven track record of building and leading successful software companies. Prior to joining SoundBite, Peter served as President and CEO of Tilion, which was acquired by Viewlocity in September of 2002. Peter was also President and CEO of Formation Systems, a leading provider of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions. Before his success at Formation, Peter was Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Aspen Technology, where he played a key role in the company’s growth. During his tenure at Aspen, sales grew dramatically, going from 6 million to over 120 million dollars. He also held various sales management positions at IBM. Throughout his career, Peter’s focus has always been on providing customers the highest possible return on their investment dollar. He holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the Wharton School of Management.

Robert Leahy,
Chief Operating Officer & Chief Financial Officer

Robert Leahy joins SoundBite Communications with more than 30 years of finance and operations experience in the high technology industry. As the former chief financial officer and executive vice president of finance and operations for Brooktrout, Inc., he led the company’s corporate development efforts including many successful acquisitions, several technology licensing deals, and the successful spin off of a wholly owned subsidiary. Leahy also led the company’s efforts to successfully raise venture capital financing as well as traditional commercial bank financing. As the chief financial officer, he represented the company in its initial public stock offering in 1992. In 1996, he spear-headed the company’s secondary or follow-on public stock offering. Prior to joining Brooktrout, Leahy held various finance roles at Cambridge Robotic Systems, Data General Corporation, and the Foxboro Company. Leahy holds a B.S. in accounting from Bentley College in Waltham, Massachusetts and an M.B.A. with a concentration in finance from Bentley.

Tim Segall
Chief Technology Officer

Tim Segall brings extensive programming and software development management expertise to SoundBite's technical team. Prior to joining SoundBite, Tim was a Partner with Computer Sciences Corporation, specializing in Healthcare and the Internet where he was the Program Manager and architect for the New England Healthcare EDI Network. Prior to CSC, Tim was Vice President of Engineering and Chief Technology Officer for Open Software Associates, a provider of Internet deployment solutions. He has also held various management positions in product development at Hewlett-Packard. Tim has an honors degree in Computer Science from the University of Queensland.

Mark Friedman
Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer

As the Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer, Mark leads SoundBite’s expansion into new markets and product offerings. Mark has more than 20 years’ experience in a range of marketing, sales and business development positions with leading companies such as IBM, Lotus Development, Epoch Systems/EMC and Dragon Systems. During the six year tenure as Vice President for Worldwide Marketing for Kenan Systems (acquired by Lucent in 1999), Mark played a major role in boosting the company’s sales from $20 million to $1.1 billion. Most recently, Mark served as CEO of Peppercoin, a provider of card-based merchant loyalty programs that was acquired by Chockstone, Inc. in April 2007.

Mark holds a degree in Systems Science Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a Masters in Business Administration from the MIT Sloan School of Management.

Christopher Hemme
Vice President, Finance

Christopher Hemme brings more than 20 years of accounting and financial experience to SoundBite Communications. Prior to joining SoundBite, Christopher was the Corporate Controller of Winphoria Networks, Inc. where he helped secure series "B" financing of $42 million. He also played a key role in the sale of Winphoria to Motorola in May 2003. Prior to Winphoria, Christopher was the Vice President of Finance, CFO at Gold Circuits Electronics where he re-engineered the company's financial organization. At Satcon Technology Corporation, he held positions as Director of Business Development, General Manager and Corporate Controller. Christopher holds a BS degree in Business Economics from S.U.N.Y. at Oneonta and an MBA from Suffolk University.

Noreen Henrich
Vice President, Client Management

Noreen Henrich joined the SoundBite Communications team to lead the Professional Services group and oversee consulting, training operations and customer support operations. She brings extensive senior management experience in high technology companies, with a strong background in customer relationship management and professional services. Before SoundBite, Noreen served as Vice President, North America Consulting, for Oracle. In her role, she was responsible for a worldwide consulting practice, setting strategies and ongoing operations for the introduction of the Oracle CRM products. Prior to her role at Oracle, Noreen was Vice President of Professional Services for Concentra Corporation. She was a key member of the management team for this salesforce automation company. She worked with many Fortune 100 companies in implementing sales and product configuration solutions. Noreen holds a B.S. in Engineering from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts, where she is also a member of the College of Engineering Industry Advisory Board.

Andrew Gilbert
Vice President, Operations

Andrew Gilbert joined SoundBite shortly after the company's inception as a core member of its engineering team before advancing to the leadership of the company's operations and professional services organizations. Prior to joining SoundBite, Andrew was the Operational and Engineering Manager at RadioAmp, where he was responsible for the design and deployment of the company's audio streaming platform for its audio services. Before that, he was an Engineering Manager at Raptor Systems (later acquired by AXENT Technologies), where he oversaw the engineering of the company's firewall management and Web-based single sign-on solutions. In addition, Andrew also worked as an Engineering Manager at Computer Sciences Corp, where he led the development and deployment of wireless industry billing applications. Andrew holds a BA in Political Science from Michigan State University and an MA in Russian Studies from Georgetown University.

Jeff Struzenski
Executive Vice President of Sales

Jeff Struzenski has over 20 years’ leadership experience in software sales and consulting. Prior to joining SoundBite, Jeff was Vice President for the Global Corporate Group at Wall Street Systems, a provider of treasury and high-performance transaction processing software to financial institutions and corporations around the world. For nine years prior to that, Jeff was a Managing Director and Partner at KPMG/BearingPoint, a global management and technology consulting firm, where he helped build a worldwide team of over 225 sales people.  Earlier in his career, Jeff was VP of Business Development at Waterfield Technology Group and held various software sales positions at Legent Corporation, Computer Associates and Price Waterhouse.
