SoundBite Communications reportedly announced the introduction of its SoundBite LIHEAP Enrollment solution, which is a customer communications solution for energy and utility providers offering two assistance programs - Low Income Home Energy Assistance Programs and Weatherization Assistance Programs - to low income households.

 

Officials at the company said it s new solution majorly simplifies and optimizes the enrollment processes for LIHEAPs and WAPs by providing multiple dual direction communication channels – landline, mobile, or e-mail – to collect household eligibility and qualification data such as income, type of gadgets, average consumption, and number of inhabitants, complete the enrollment and application process; provide personalized contact, and discuss threadbare the benefits of each relevant program to stoke interest.

 
"Utility providers need to transform their enrollment strategies if they want to reduce delinquency rates and receive the lion's share of federal program dollars available," said Jim Lovegrove, director of energy and utility markets forSoundBite Communications ( News - Alert). in a statement.  "Community outreach events and neighborhood canvassing are less effective than they used to be. Communicating valuable program information over a variety of communications channels will yield greater results, at a lower cost and in less time."
